Nearly One-Million Finns Don´t Use the Internet

Nearly one-quarter of all adults in Finland, totalling nearly a million people, do not use the internet at all.

Nearly all adults under the age of 30 use the internet but only 36 percent of pensioners go online. Use among pensioners in Finland falls below the EU average.

Following a new information society strategy by the government, everyday matters will increasingly be handled on the internet. The government assures however that these tasks can still be taken care of without using a computer.
