Nordea Bank plans to shut down virtually all of its electronic banking services that serve its customers in Finland for a system update which will last most of this coming Sunday.
In a press release, Nordea said that it plans to shut down virtually all of its electronic banking services at 4 am until 6 pm on April 23.
While it will be impossible to withdraw cash at ATMs, the company says purchases made on Nordea bank and credit cards will be possible, but that those transactions could take longer than usual.
The company said it is possible that some card payments will not go through during the maintenance.
Nordea is encouraging customers to withdraw enough cash before the computer maintenance begins early Sunday morning.
