Maintenance work on Nordea Bank’s IT services will interrupt ATM withdrawals and deposits and most card payments on the morning of Sunday, March 4. An accompanying break in online banking services and e-payments will be in effect until 4 pm.

The bank says the break will also affect Nordea Finance’s services and payment cards, such as Stockmann MasterCard, Finnair Plus MasterCard and the TUOHI MasterCard.

"During the service break, you cannot withdraw cash with Nordea's cards or use Nordea's access codes for electronic identification. Netbank and Mobile Bank will be unavailable during the entire break. Card payments will be possible with certain restrictions at stores and un-manned service stations, but the payment process may be slow and payments will not necessarily succeed," the bank's press release reads.

Nordea says it will be carrying out failover tests of its data systems to improve IT stability.

The bank asks its customers to prepare for the service break by withdrawing enough cash and carrying out any daily banking or matters requiring electronic identification in advance.
