The latest Finnpanel National Radio Survey shows that 78% of Finns over the age of nine listened daily to the radio during June through August.
The largest audience was for broadcasts by YLE Radio Suomi and its regional services. Nearly half of all Finns listened to its programmes at least weekly.
The most listened-to commercial channel was the pop channel Radio Nova with weekly audiences of over 1.6 million listeners.
The weekly reach of YLE Radio 1, which carries mostly classical, jazz and spoken word programmes, was a million listeners and the rock channel YleX 900,000. The audience share of local radio stations was 12%.
The Finnpanel survey uses a listening diary method. Its June-August sample included just over 4,500 people.
