The Finnish science magazine Tiede has calculated that Santa has a long haul ahead, once again. According to its calculations, in order to visit each and every child in the world, his Christmas Eve route will take him 446 million kilometres.

In traditional fashion, the jolly old elf set off in good time on Sunday, in a sled pulled by real reindeer.
