Commerce 8, an agency helping retailers get on the web shopping behemoth, told KL that the company will most likely on board more Nordic customers before launching its Nordic site.
"Companies in Scandinavia aren’t ready yet to work with Amazon. There’s no point in secretly launching a Nordic website because that doesn’t support sales. The supply chain has to be in place for orders to ship in two days," explained Emma Zethelius of Commerce 8.
Driving in elk country
Finland’s elk hunting season begins on Saturday. With the terrestrial mammal on the move, there's a heightened risk of vehicular collisions with Alces alces in the coming weeks, reports Hufvudstadsbladet.
Over 70 percent of elk-related traffic accidents occur about an hour after sunset, insurer IF told HBL. The company said the incidence of animal-vehicle collisions has risen during the past decade, with a fifth of such accidents occurring during the month of November.
How do you define success in sport?
It’s a question Finns often wrestle with. At the World Athletics Championships in Doha Finns have won no medals, but four athletes have done better than their ranking and surpassed the average of their five best results this season.
Only five Finns who finished their race or competition did worse than the average of their five best results this season.
So while watching the records smashed and the glory of the podium ceremonies it’s good to remember that by their standards, the medal-less Finns returning from Doha have done okay.
EDIT: The original version of this review erroneously reported that most elk accidents occur in March, as did HBL. However the If report states the correct month is November.
