Addressing his party’s governing body on Tuesday, Katainen said hoped for a spirit of compromise in forthcoming talks aimed at forming a new coalition government. He said he would hold discussions with all parties wishing to join a new administration.
Katainen received a standing ovation at the meeting. The rapturous applause started when he said the NCP had achieved its position as the largest party in Finland thanks to its steadfast and responsible policy line.
