Massive Coin Theft Uncovered at Mint of Finland

The Helsinki Criminal Police are investigating a suspected robbery of tens of thousands of euros in coins from the Mint of Finland.

Police say that the money was pilfered in the form of coins of one and two euros.

Police have detained several people, including the production chief of the mint.

Police are also investigating suspicions that the use and distribution of cocaine might also be involved.

The Mint of Finland, a state-owned company, produces ordinary coins as well as commemorative coins and medals.
