Final year students of upper secondary schools in Finland celebrated the end of classes with traditional last day parades on Thursday.
In Helsinki and other towns across Finland, high school seniors paraded in open-air trucks, and showered passersby with sweets in what has been unusually sunny conditions.
The seniors will go off to prepare for their written matriculation exams, which begin in just under one month's time. Oral examinations began in early February.
This year, more than 40,000 candidates will take the final exams.
On Friday next year's seniors will celebrate their status in Senior's Day festivities, which culminate in a formal ball.
