Ryanair May Reduce London-Tampere Flights

No-frills airline Ryanair is to cut the number of flights it operates from London’s Stansted Airport. Flights on the Stansted-Tampere route may be reduced as a result.

The airline says it plans to reduce the number of planes using Stansted by around 40 percent from October. Ryanair blames the cutback on the high tariffs levied by the British Airports Authority(BAA) and government taxes.

Ryanair told YLE News a decision on actual route cuts will be made later this week. The Finnish Civil Aviation Body Finavia says the number of flights on the Stansted-Tampere route could be reduced as a result of the planned cutback.
