On Wednesday a man is due to appear in court for custody hearings after being charged with involuntary manslaughter. The man, who was born in 1990, is suspected of assault and involuntary manslaughter following a demonstration outside Helsinki Railway station on 10 September.

The man gave himself up to police after the victim died of his injuries on 16 September. Police say he was kicked in the chest and fell to the ground, hitting his head and losing consciousness, after he had spat on the floor and exchanged some words with the neo-Nazis at the protest.

Involuntary manslaughter can carry a prison sentence of up to six years.
